A year ago, we asked for your support as we launched the very first premium version of Mapy.com. So how did it go? Not only did we deliver everything we promised, we’ve added even more. And that’s mostly thanks to you!
What cool stuff have we cooked up for you this year?
In the Mapy app you can now discover surrounding mountain peaks right through your phone’s camera with our new HorizontAR feature. Just turn it on, point your phone at the horizon, and Mapy will automatically identify the peaks around you.

Mapy.com now works nicely with both Apple Watch and Wear OS. Wear OS users get all their favourite map types, plus navigation and dark mode, of course.
And if you prefer Apple Watch, great news: we’re finishing the final tweaks to bring stable, detailed map layers to that too.
In the My Mapy section you can add notes to saved places, mark spots you’ve visited, filter them however you like, or enable them always on the map.
Soon you’ll also get subfolders, colour tags for clarity, and a search bar to keep your big dreams nicely organized.
Forget scrolling through endless lists. Now you can simply pick the area you want directly on the map.
Wondering how long your trip will take? Adjust route planning to match your walking, running, stroller-pushing, or cycling speed. Whether you’re hitting trails on an MTB, flying down the road on a road bike, or cruising on a gravel bike, Mapy.com will calculate timing exactly for you.
And because many of you asked, we’re adding custom speed settings for cars too. Super helpful for caravans and trailers.
We’re pushing trip planning even further: create loop hikes including ferratas, running circuits, stroller-friendly walks, gravel rides, or even routes for footbikes.
And we’re not done yet :) Ski touring fans, mountain route planning is coming soon.
Plan a journey by public transport right from your doorstep all the way to Paris, without hanging around unnecessarily. You’ll see delays, platform numbers, and barrier-free connections. You can even track your bus or train live on the map. Available for everyone, free and premium.
Keep an eye on your group trip or just someone’s journey home. Your loved ones’ location appears clearly on the map, and if they’re using our navigation, you’ll see in real time where they’re driving and when they’ll arrive. This feature is completely free.
When planning a car trip, Mapy will show you the official online shops for highway vignettes in every country you pass through, not fake sites. You’ll also see how many kilometres of your route are on toll highways.
And of course, that’s not all, we’re rolling on into next year. You can look forward to major improvements to international map layers. Plus, we’re building a new routing algorithm that lets you fine-tune your route exactly how you want it. You’re going to love it.
