Interscroller – an attention-grabbing format for your mobile

You can now use a new ad format in your Sklik campaigns. Interscroller is the largest mobile format that responds to scrolling on a mobile page. The ad message itself is in the background of the page, where the visitor scrolls to gradually reveal it.

Thanks to its design, the Interscroller attracts much more attention than a classic banner. And it is easy to produce.

Its high visibility makes it particularly suitable for the See and Think phases of the STDC framework. Of course, you can also use it for the Do and Care phases, for example through retargeting. It is a premium format that can be used as a classic image (banner), HTML5 and external code, the resulting display of which is interactive. Physically it is a regular static image like a regular banner, but in this case it is 720×1280 px.

Unlike normal banner sizes, which are simply displayed in their entirety, it is necessary for the graphic designer to follow the rules of visible zones when making the Interscroller, the exact layout of which can be found in our mockup.

How to add Interscroller to Sklik:

You can upload the new ad type as a standard banner in display and simple display campaigns.

Then proceed in the same way as you would when adding a new banner. We recommend using the interscroller in a new campaign or in a campaign where you are already using branding, as it is a premium format that should be given special attention.

Payment model for Interscroller purchase

When purchasing the Interscroller branded format, we recommend that you only purchase it with a pay-per-thousand impression (CPT) campaign set-up. This is because the format is unlikely to appear in a CPC model as it will not meet the required minimum cost per thousand impressions.

The number of impressions available depends on the number of interscroller ads currently running in guaranteed campaigns or private RTB deals purchased through a Seznam sales representative. However, the higher the cost per thousand impressions, the more likely the ad will be released. The recommended CPT is from CZK 70 upwards.

You can reach your clients and potential clients directly from Seznam on the most visited sites on the Czech Internet: Novinky.cz, SeznamZpravy.cz, Super.cz, Sport.cz, Medium.seznam.cz, Garaz.cz, Prozeny.cz. Over the next few weeks we will be adding more sites from our partner network.

How do you get the most out of Interscroller?

  • We recommend using User Interest Targeting to reach a relevant audience of your potential customers. Interscrollers, like other ad types, can be combined with all available targeting types.
  • If the campaign is limited in impressions by the daily budget, we recommend refining the targeting – for example, using the interests, gender or age group that your target audience has. Such a targeted ad will give you better results than an across-the-board campaign that is only limited by the daily budget.
  • In the case of a combination of several types of narrower targeting (e.g. news.cz/automoto section and users interested in football), the potential impressions may be significantly reduced.
  • Interscroller can also be used to retarget existing visitors to your website. For example, if you’re launching a new product, you can use Interscroller to target users who have visited your site in the last six months in a format they won’t miss.

With our client Mercedes, we at OMG tested a newly available format in Sklik – the mobile Interscroller, which until now could only be bought through direct purchase or RTB. We were delighted that Seznam extended the buying option for this format to the Sklik display network, especially as it gives clients a new inventory and targeting option. We are pleased with the result so far and look forward to expanding to other sites within the Sklik display network.
